Resources for explaining blockchains
I wrote Read Write Own to help more people appreciate the potential of blockchains for building a better internet. So it’s been rewarding to see people post and highlight parts of the book that resonate most with them.
The book has also been on the New York Times Hardcover Nonfiction bestseller list its first two weeks, and made the USA Today Best-selling Booklist (which includes both fiction and nonfiction) as well. I am grateful to everyone who bought the book, has read the book, and took the time to share their thoughts with me directly and online in Amazon/ Goodreads reviews.
If you haven’t read Read Write Own yet, or want to share the themes of the book with others, here’s an edited excerpt of the intro: https://a16zcrypto.com/posts/article/read-write-own-intro/ — it’s like a manifesto for the movement.
We also put together a glossary of common blockchain and internet terms from the book — from API, composability, and open source to “complements vs substitutes” and other business definitions: https://a16zcrypto.com/posts/article/blockchain-internet-glossary-key-terms-read-write-own-book/
I hope you find these resources useful, and continue to share them — and the book —with others.
